Problem with site5 Written by mjwest10, on 09-03-2007 14:25 I came across this forum as I was looking for a new host. Currently my host is site5.com . I havn't had any problem with them before, but I also only hosted a couple of sites that got very few hits. Now I have a site that gets about 2000 page impressions per day and uses a mySQL backend. The problem is over the last 8 days the site has gone down (due to high server load or having to restart mysql) at least 6 times. 4 of these times I got the server while it was down and filed a support ticket for it. Every time they restart mySQL or httpd and things start working again - then they tell me it was due to another user and that he has been suspended tell he fixes his script. My question is this - around 2000 page impressions doesn't seem supper huge to me. I am wondering if others have experienced problems with site5 recently (which I think is true based off of other sites here) and how I should try to find a hosting site that doesn't have these issues? I'd like to still have a shared hosting site that was around $10-$20 a month if possible, but maybe this is unrealistic for a good host.
